Woodland Volunteering Session

Join us for a Woodland Volunteering Session in Beckton District Park South. Our group of adult volunteers will be guided through some woodland management activities to encourage nature recovery, especially recovery of the soil, as well as creating habitats for invertebrates and a food sources for birds and other small local wildlife. This session’s activities will include laying wood chips, coppicing hazel and improving our deadhedge.

No experience necessary! We welcome individuals who love nature, enjoy physical activity outdoors, want to improve their local park or just want to meet other locals and learn some new skills.

This session is aimed at adults; however, we may be able to accommodate a small number of children upon request— but we ask that requests are only made if you can supervise your own children and do not think they will disturb the session.
